Molly Hodgson
Principal and Founder
Molly has always had a passion for teaching and performing since she was little, competing in hundreds of competitions in ADFP and ISTD even becoming national champion. As the co-founder, director of Motion Dance Academy and a dance artist and business woman, Molly adores what herself and Katelyn have created.
She is a multi- talented, diverse leader and runs various parts of Motion from behind the scenes; running day to day operations, managing orders and invoices, overseeing branding, as well as being a prominent face as you walk through our doors and teaching. All for the benefit of our students and staff, we take pride in everything we do at motion to ensure everyone feels like family.
Molly in her most recent years, has then gone on to complete her paediatric nursing degree and when she is not working on Motion, she is working in this complete other field- so rest assured you are in the best hands!
Alongside studying for her degree Molly also studied for her IDTA exam and has since completed her IDTA dancing exam enabling us to expand and give further opportunities to our students in the competing world in both open and ADFP competitions- so our students really can reach for gold! (if they want to!!!)
Molly has also undertaken additional courses and qualifications in Acro Assistant, Safeguarding, Resuscitation and Mental health to ensure her knowledge is always up to date and providing the best for Motion.
Molly loves nothing more than seeing all your beautiful faces each week with more adding to our family as the weeks go on. With her incredible experience at such a reasonably younger but fresher age, there its so much detail and care to everything she does which you can really see show in the level of duty and care you receive in the classes and also outside our classes. Molly is not only proud of the environment and community family feel Katelyn and herself have created, but also proud they have taught majority of the students that walk through then door.
